This year, definitely a reflection of the recap and review edition of "AS" R.T.U. I am one after the show, I am Jeff Pacton, joined every single week, like always, the one away Dr. Frank Lynn, Dr. Trey, have you ever lost a mask versus mask match, my friend?

0:44 Ah, let's see, this, yeah. I wrestled a midget, I wrestled in a handicap match, I wrestled a giant, I wrestled a woman, so no, I have never lost a mask versus mask match, but I did briefly wear a mask, though, in my wrestling career, so it's not foreign to me, I just never lost it in an actual match, so no, never lost it. I'm undefeated then. And you never, and you did wrestle someone that was dressed as Sting? Now, that was just my, I didn't wrestle him, he was just there dressed as Sting.

1:26 No wait, I take that back, I did have him in a match, but he wasn't dressed as Sting, that was our survivor series match, which my team lost, I did, I did lose the survivor series match to the guy who dressed as Sting, but just not that match. Okay, yeah, that is still one of my favorite stories you ever told when you were starting a wrestling career, is that you were doing like, dueling, ring announcing, and hosting, and the other guy dressed up as Sting. Do you ever keep in touch with that guy? Yeah, yeah, we're still friends this day, like he does wrestling commentary type stuff up in Tennessee now, but yeah, I still run into him from time to time, but yeah, like that's, he's just a super nice guy, but he got in because he was a super fan, and he just never lost his super fandom of professional wrestling, so, but yeah, that was also the show that D-Von Dudley, basically got super mad that we did live commentary during the matches, and he refused to let his sons wrestle in a match if we were doing live commentary.

2:34 I remember they were, they were working some of the shows you're on. How long have you been in wrestling for now? It's well over, it's got to be well over 10 years, right? It's, see, started in 2014, so August will be my 12 year mark, yeah. And it all just started basically like hanging out at a bar, wasn't it? It basically started because A of this podcast, because I dated a girl who worked at a bar that hosted wrestling shows, and I had blown off a date to record the podcast, and she came back later on, she's like, "Well, I should introduce you to the owners of this show, because you do a wrestling podcast, and they run a wrestling show, you guys should meet."

3:17 Wow. After about 30 minutes of talking, they're like, "Hey, would you like to do commentary on our shows?" And then the rest is history from there. There we go. Wow. Well, over 10 years in professional wrestling. Amazing. Amazing. It's, it's very funny what this show has led to, where it led to, for me, like broadcasting career, working in radio, sports radio, and you, a career in professional wrestling. Like, I don't think that's something you and I ever envision when we first started playing EA Gameshow, which birthed multiple podcasts, birthed this podcast, birthed our friendship, and here we are still 851 episodes later.

I'm kidding. Yeah, so 100% she loves that I watch professional wrestling. No doubt ever complains about it whatsoever. Let's get into it. Let's recap WWE clash in Italy for this past Sunday, from the Inape Arena in Toronto, Italy. The first match here, which aired on ESPN, was Cody Rhodes, defeating Gunther to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. Both Dr. Trey and I had Cody Rhodes in this one. Dr. Trey, did the controversial finish take away from the match in a bad way? Because Cody now feels Roman level 2 protected.

4:43 Did it take away from the match itself in your opinion? - I don't like weird finishes. I don't mind the interference finishes. I don't mind chicaneery. I don't mind the low blow. I don't mind so like that. But isn't this the same finish almost that Gunther had with Randy Orton a few years ago? Just like it's weird, the foot's under the robe, and it's like the referee does. Like those ones I hate. I don't know if it, I guess yeah, it took away from the match 'cause it was a fantastic match. And then the finish felt just a little bit off. I don't, I saw people burying the match though because I always say the match was just trash because of the finish, but yeah, it's like, come on.

5:32 Like you're protecting Cody, you're trying to protect Gunther, and it's just like yeah, like there could have been a better way to get to that other than just that awkward clunkiness to it. - Yeah, it was clunky and I mean, we talked about it on last week's show. My concern was how this will, how did they, how did they gotta go forward with this match with two well protected stars in Gunther and Cody Rhodes? And I think you look at it and you're like, okay, well this the finish basically is leading to a second match. But I don't know if I want to see a second match between these two guys. It is felt like based on some things that we're seeing, reading how it's all worked out.

6:13 This was not the original creative we're led to believe is that this is just basically a period of time, two top stars where you're just kind of putting them both in a holding pattern. So I mean Cody wins, but Gunther's foot was under the rope, so he really didn't lose because Gunther doesn't lose one-on-one matches. He only loses when he has a championship. It's very, very rare and I wish that statistic was kind of showcase a little bit more to the importance of it. The finish was very confusing. I mean I watched it and it just felt like it was something was off, like almost the referee miscounted to a degree and then they sold it where the camera angle was kind of out of place and you see his foot's under the rope and then they pulls the leg back.

6:59 And even though he's the top baby face, Cody does these things that are very healish where I think in maybe a different world wrestling fans wouldn't love and respect him as the QB1 of the company, which is very odd right now because actually there are two top men's world champions which are arguably their two top baby faces have some healish tendencies, but this is that gray area you talk about, Dr. Trey. It was a disappointing match overall for me. I just, the controversial finish I did not love it all. Yes, I actually really enjoyed the match up until the finish. Agreed. And maybe I'm into my orbit like I was like, "This is really good."

7:40 And you know that contrasting styles, but then when you do it ending like that, especially I don't know if you watched the triple A show, but they're hyping up like how good the referees are doing, you know, in certain matches like, "Oh, he paused his count to make sure the shoulder was fully down before he counted three." Like they're hyping out the performance and they always want to play up like how good the referees are, but then it's like you get a finish like this and it's just like, "Oh, he just did a scene." It's like, "Well no, that's literally his job." Like the referee's job is to be down in a position, especially when a wrestler's limb can reach the ropes where he can see that and see the shoulders like that's, you're almost bearing the referee in stuff like that.

8:31 And I can't remember who the referee was, but it's like you're making the ref look stupid. And then that means that leads to like the credibility of the referee and that can affect matches down the road. Like we're seeing that later on in the show with the Jessica Karshto. Like I don't want my refs looking stupid. I want my refs to be basically invisible the entire match, you know, because the attention should be on the match and what the guys in the ring are doing and not the actual referee. So it took away from the match. I would like, if it was a, you know, if you were saying that it was going to be a four and a half star match, but the finish took it down to maybe like a 3.75 or a four.

9:11 Next match here is Rhea Ripley defeating Jade Cargill to retain the WWE Women's Championship. We both had Rhea Ripley in this one. I thought this was one of if not the best Jade Cargill in-ring performance ever. Dr. Tre is her in-ring performance criticism behind her. I feel like this is something we've talked about or at least I brought up here now. Several matches of hers is the in-ring performance criticism behind her. I'm going to say so. I was going to ask you. I didn't know where you were going to go when you were kind of recap the match. I thought this was Jade's best match also. And Rhea is not known for being a great in-ring performer like she's solid. But like if you're someone like who can carry somebody through a match, Rhea is not at the top of our list.

9:55 So Jade had to do her part in this match and she did really well. I will say she's now been in the business five years, six years, somewhere there. Yeah, 2020. At this point you should be pretty solid in the ring at least. At least be able to carry your own. I think she's at that level now and she's all with the look, the promo ability. And now she's getting the in-ring ability like she's a bankable star that they can lean on for the next five to ten years. Whatever they want to get you know credit. And look, we still have not gotten our dream match of Bianca and Jade. And it's still probably a year or two away from happening.

10:36 So like that's still we got to get to. So yeah, my van she's going to be even better because she's really putting in the war. You can see that she's putting in the work to get better. I hate using this comparison but she's kind of Nikki Bella, you know, in this sense of like was not growing the ring had everything else you wanted and then got better and better. She's just looks more like a pro wrestler than Nikki Bella ever did but yeah, I can't, I can't, I can't knock Jade for being a bad wrestler anymore. So crap, that sucks. I like that was my go-to for a long time but now she's actually pretty decent. Yeah, and it looks like they're shifting her now towards an eventual feud here with Charlotte Flair which I think is a dream match.

11:22 I mean, even during her time in A.W., while she was kind of learning as she went in professional wrestling. A lot of people felt that a Charlotte Flair match with her at some point was at least from a visual standpoint on the table and now that the in-ring stuff is there, I think it's going to be very exciting to see this and I think it's based. It looks like it's lining up for Summerslam but it could be sooner rather than later depending on how they fill out that night of Champions card and also Saturday nights in the main event in New York City in mid-July. Next match here is Brock Lesnar defeating Oba Femme. We both had Brock Lesnar in this one. Loved the entrance of Brock Lesnar, the Italian fans singing his theme song.

12:05 It's a shame that it feels like his career is coming to an end here because that is something that I think could have lasted now the rest of his career or fans getting behind that. He clearly ate it up and was having a fun time so that was pretty cool to see him get hyped up for that. Is this a good thing though, Dr. Trey, to get Oba's first loss on the main roster out of the way? I believe his only other WWE TV loss came against Tony DiAngelo in NXT when he dropped the North American Championship. Is this a good thing that we finally got the first main roster loss out of the way rather than having them run rough shot as undefeated? Yeah, and I mentioned that it's probably a couple weeks ago but you have to get that law.

12:46 You have to make Oba look like he is defeatable. Now yeah, it took what 37 F5s and like 5 tables and a low blow to, I mean it's crazy how many things that Brock had to do put him down but you have to put a chink in the armor of every performer. Otherwise you get what we did with Undertaker WrestleMania for so many years where it's like, oh yeah, it's Haker's winning. It just becomes almost like a pre-determined outcome than what professional wrestling usually is. So getting a little small chink in the armor for Oba Femi is not a bad thing because it does kind of humanize them a little bit.

13:27 But overall, I think it's good for everybody involved here. By the way, Brock doing the Oba dance when the Oba was coming out also was really cool. This will be the path of Oba Femi now in the next three to four weeks is going to be very intriguing to watch because he's in the king of the ring tournament which we will preview and give our thoughts. He already won his first round match in just a little bit and I think when you look at the tournament bracket on paper you're merely going, oh this is Oba's to win. I mean this has got to send him up for Summer Slam. But there's part of me as I've been saying I was like I feel like this is a trifecta and then Brock is going to get that one last Saudi and Arabian mega payday and they'll wrestle a night of champions but if Oba's in that finals for the king of the ring, I think that's off the table which then leads me to believe would they be doing Oba and Brock at Saturday and it's been a event in match that's where Garden Midglai. Like I think Brock has one or two more matches left and then you look at how close that is to Summer Slam in Minneapolis, Minnesota and it makes you wonder is Oba. There's a lot of things in play here like that if you do midglai, I think it's like July 18th with Brock and Oba at Saturday and it's been a event. Well then that doesn't give them a long window to build towards maybe in a match or retirement match with Gunther which I think is the play here and then it also makes you wonder from the Roman Reigns aspect of it which we'll talk about him here in a little bit that maybe Roman is going to be around for a

14:59 little bit longer holding this championship and he is not around for just a four-month time frame basically to pass the Torx Oba family at Summer Slam. So lots to play here right now and we'll kind of kind of we'll kind of piece this all together here towards a later part of the show when we look at the king of the ring stuff. Next match here is Sol Ruka defeating Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship. Both Dr. Trey and I had Becky Lynch in this one. Dr. Trey, what is the bigger story? Becky continues to put over a younger talent during this icy title run like Lyra, Maxine and Soul or this is the beginning of the rise of Sol Ruka. Um man, I'm going to go with the Sol Ruka angle because I've seen people kind of go yeah, Becky puts people over but then immediately takes it away from them. So I'm going to go with the trust into the rise of Sol Ruka is the bigger story because you and I last week the reason we picked Becky Lynch was because Sol stumbled quite a few times this coming to the main roster and you and I didn't think she was maybe ready for this spot. The fact they're trusting her in this role leads me to believe that they're going to keep pushing her as much as possible. So to me that just shows they got faith in her that she's going to turn some of these negatives into positives that she's a bankable star that you know she's probably the future of the women's division in five years.

16:25 So I'm going to go like this is kind of that launching pad for Sol Ruka becoming a main event star here in the next years for WWE. And the thing it's funny because we were talking about the her not being ready and if you go back in that match um there was a point where Becky is on the turnbuckle wants to do the leg drop and she's telling Sol where to go like it was obviously piece to part a lot in social media and it was noticeable during the match. And this stuff where like Sol is struggling in some of these matches I'm I never witnessed this during her NXT run. It's like the nerves are getting the best of her and maybe she's forgotten about herself a little bit and just how damn good she is in the ring and how well she connects with the audience. The minute she finds that confidence and this is just me watching as if you were at home from what I think I may be seen who knows what's actually going on in her head behind the scenes. Once she figures that all out Dr. Trey I think she is going to be a mecha star and yeah I mean she's missed up in a little bit now she's got the icy title I think she's going to connect very very well with the audience her in-ring stuff is always phenomenal and exciting and hopefully she just kind of gets through this little blip and just realizes like her talent will always shine through it's it's noticeable so far and we were I was surprised that they gave her the intercutter on championship because of that coming out of the show but might as well push her in the water push her in the ocean they may say and then the next and final match here Dr. Trey was Roman Reigns defeating Jacob Fattu in tribal combat to retain the world

17:55 every way championship you and I both had Roman Reigns on Mondays Raw Jacob Fattu acknowledges Roman Reigns as his tribal chief is now aligned with the Usos and Roman Reigns in this bloodline 2.0 they walk out together the role of Jacob Fattu and the persona and the character that he will play moving forward will be very intriguing and interesting to watch I compared it to I think it was like Helen Sell 2020 when Roman defeated Jey Uso in that match and then Jey started to follow in line that it's it's it's mirroring it's mirroring a lot of things which leads me to this question Dr. Trey does the bloodline rebirth storyline that's what I'm going to be trademarking and calling it feel recycled or are you interested in it a little above and I know I'm kind of walking I'm kind of straddling the fence here a little bit but the dynamics of this are very interesting to me like yeah there is a little bit like the recycled storyline to it but we've seen it's weird we have more depth to these four people's characters than we did five years ago then five years ago I damn you I could barely tell Jay and Jimmy apart you know like now it's like you have the history of Jey Uso the last three years you have Jimmy's run you saw Jacob you know coming on to WWB yelling out I love you solo then turning on solo and then going on his run and now following line so the

19:27 depth of the characters has gotten me intrigued because who's going to be the first one to break away is it going to be Jake as we've seen Jay be a little more unhinged as well you know is it going to be Jacob he just can't take falling in line as part of this family you know so like I'm intrigued by the characters in this storyline but it does at time feel a little rehash it's also a little bit of you know solo being the enforcer and the original bloodline with Jacob in this role so it's it's a little bit of recycling this but there's more depth to these characters than we had when the bloodline storyline kicked off five six years ago yeah there's there's layers to this we'll talk about the MFT stuff the Jacob Fatt two stuff that's being in there it's it feels to me you know coming out of WrestleMania the vibe that I got as I just talked about not too long ago here because of the interview that Roman did after WrestleMania during the post show was that Romans like I'm gonna be rounder in the summer and Roman's been pointing out like hey this is this is this is kind of like almost my last ride like I don't have many WrestleMania's left and I felt like okay he'll be around for four months lead to Oba Femi getting the push getting the torch and then carrying it from there and it looks more like you know it's this slow slow burn of the return of the bloodline where the Usos are aligned with him Roman is doing things in the ring that are similar to his time as the tribal chief

20:58 in the OTC while he's still getting cheered and then they're they're building with Jacob Fatt two who knows what the MFTs fall into this like it just feels like that this is becoming like a big thing you know they were trying to to to stop and prevent the bloodline from ever being reborn everybody was off and doing their own thing and while everybody's not paying attention they're they're reforming like the mob like the mafia they are they are getting stronger and and ready to take over WWE at a moments notice and that makes me wonder what is this long-term play with Jacob Fatt two now in the bloodline doctor tray is he got to be filling that like Jay Usos role where he's the right hand man he's the guy that eventually you know breaks out like what are we thinking is is is going to be Jacob Fatt two's role here in the bloodline yeah I'm it's a little bit of to me like when Sean Michaels and JBL had their storyline and Sean got entered into servitude for JBL and eventually he just can't take any more and breaks away this could also lead to the J-whoso he'll turn it's curious to me about this because as much as we love Jacob Fatt two if you look at the guys who are usually on top of WWE I mean World Champion WWE Champion they're the guys you put on TV to do the late night talk shows to do like all the commercials I don't know if Jacob falls into that

22:34 category because we've never really had somebody like Jacob organically get over to where it starts becoming where like oh crap we're gonna have to make him a champion like the last 10 years I mean I'm trying to think of like somebody who's like I can't think of anybody whose character kind of resembles him not just character but also look appearance the whole nine yards maybe a break wide but Brady didn't have the belt very long just you know typically it's good looking guy very charismatic very handsome easy on the eyes you know people jump on board and see what he's doing I don't know if Jacob falls into that category so it's gonna be interesting to see how they book this because typically when you have a big group like this and somebody breaks out they do ascend to that top spot and I just don't know if Jacob will be that guy in the eyes of WWE and TKO I will say Fatu's early interactions with J.U. So I think they have the ability to become very entertaining like with J.U. So like basically telling um telling Jacob Fatu to fall in line and all that stuff and him getting his face would be like J.I. Don't answer to you I think that there's some potential there for being some some very very entertaining stuff uh the layer to this all and I like that the bloodline rebirth storyline is is starting to slow burn up it's it's I don't think it's recycled I think

24:05 it's it fits well with how the bloodline has been in WWE these last six years so I I'm very interested in and the direction of where it's going the layer to this doctor tray that has me incredibly fatigued interested in tree I should say is the MFTs and where they fit into the storyline so they're standing outside the barrier following the match of clash in Italy Roman Reigns as he has something for them he matches that again on raw we don't know what that actually means uh solo did perform on raw lost but it didn't lead to anything maybe we'll see it carry over to Smackdown what do you think if any the MFTs roles could be in this entire thing well if you remember you go back through your bloodline story Roman and Nointin Solo has like the guy to take his spot at some point you know it wasn't Jimmy it wasn't J it was it was solo and maybe we get like maybe Roman's looking at this is like hey let's bring everybody in house we get a super bloodline you know or something along those lines um but it is we see the issue the dynamic because this way Roman could almost oversee two kingdoms the kingdom on raw the bloodline and the kingdom on Smackdown with the MFT so it's it's interesting because you know Roman's like you mentioned earlier in the map you know going back to the the match with Cody or Lear like Roman is a baby face but he has these heel tendencies and by forming some kind of super group super family type thing like it is Roman kind of walking that line between heel and baby

25:40 face if that comes through fruition so I don't know if like I don't think of bloodline versus MFT storyline what exciting because there's nobody in the MFTs that's on the Romans level um so to me it has to be almost like a super Samoan group yeah it's it seems like that's what things are going like it wouldn't surprise me if there's everybody falls in line and Romans bloodline is stronger than ever it you know this the bloodline has always been compared to star wars right if your star wars fan you kind of get it this is the return of of the empire and not only is the empire getting stronger they're getting larger and they could become indestructible and then all the sun and you've got like the Avengers of the WWE that needs to stop it there's a lot of foreshadowing going on with a stuffed post clash and Italy with Roman and Cody being face to face in the backstage area this to me all I the Roman train is is not stopping until next year's WrestleMania um I feel like we could be headed towards Roman and Cody 3 which was some rumblings for this past year's WrestleMania that did not take place and Roman and Cody has to take down Roman and the empire one more time uh and for good potentially so it's uh it's exciting Dr. Traum I'm I'm excited to see this it it feels like as of late WWE is kind of getting their groove back storyline storyline wise

27:15 yeah I would I would say but when you mentioned the like a kind of reminding your star wars I'm like a kind of reminding me like those like the bloodline world order yeah you have the bloodline Hollywood and bloodline wolf pack you know it's like that um but yeah it does kind of feel that way like I saw rumors that you know that sets on the horizon for Roman I mean you could literally almost like bring a super group together to battle them and you know you still have these outlier guys we're like LA nights you know talking about you know he's seeing it coming and yep so there's a lot of baby faces that you could kind of pull in together to battles but then again if the bloodline becomes a heel faction then where does like the Braun Breaker, Braun's and Reed Logan Paul vision Paul Paul the player dude we in have seen those all of those guys turn baby face to battle the bloodline world order like where does it all kind of fit in so it does feel like WWE is going to get their groove back like we're getting some layers on these storylines we're seeing the Easter eggs we saw a little bit the Maxine Dupree Easter egg play out a little bit you know so like that just shows that they're being cognizant of hey we have this storyline but then we can start you know getting the embers stoked for some of these underlying storylines to cycle them up when we need something to kind of kick off and take place to kind of you know to kind of fill in the gaps when Roma's not around or Cody's not around or you know whatever it is.

28:44 People for your prediction record you and I both win 4-1 for Clash and Italy we both sit at 21 and 10 event rating and match of the night for me I gave Clash and Italy a 4.0 and my match of the night was rear-lipply and Jade Cargo what's a you Dr. Trey. I had Clash nearly at a 4.1 thought I was a really solid show I gave mine to Roman and Jacob I mean I liked I liked to read and Jay but I really did enjoy some tribal combat so I went with Roman and Jacob and their match. So much so that the match re-air at the close of RAW on Netflix this past Monday I was going to go out of my way to check it out after everybody was raving it about it but then thankfully they aired it after RAW this past week and that's how I watched the match I actually watched the match but about an hour or so before we record the podcast today and it's it's it's interesting because I know everybody's like Meltzer's even hyping it up like loved it and everybody who is in tune to

30:17 what's going on Triple A right now is talking about how this storyline is and when you look at it from a WWE perspective you've got Ludwig Keiser a spoiler alert under the El Grande Americano mask and now the reveal Chad Gable in the OG mask so you have Chad Gable and Ludwig Keiser guys that were working the mid cards like lower or mid tier mid cards and I have an upper mid cards in WWE and they are putting Mexico on their back Triple A on their back and there's no title involved and people are just eating it up and I'm watching the match the match is about over like 35 minutes long and I wish I could appreciate the storyline more dr. Tre because the fans were in it from start to finish and you know on the outside looking in I think we could criticize WWE because in Triple A they have six non-Hispanic wrestlers working under masks right now dominating the top storyline with Ryo and Bravo they kind of remind me of Tyler Bate and Pete Dunn and the Los Hermanos Americano's kind of reminding me of the Creed Brothers so I watch the match love the match so much so I think that El Grande Americano Ludwig Keiser will never leave Triple A because I don't think that character can can carry over to the main roster of Ron Smackdown I think he could be a mega star in Mexico for them and it's kind of pretty cool and exciting and I wish I had more time in the day watch Triple A now under the WWE banner but that's I think you could very much

31:50 criticize and poke holes through win WWE acquired Triple A but from what I saw this past Saturday night and just watching that match loan dr. Tre does seem like WWE has been successful in transitioning themselves themselves over as the owners of Triple A and giving the Mexican fans something they could be proud of I don't know if you watched the match I did I do think it's a match of the year candidate and it was very exciting and everything and emotion, blood, you know violence and it connected with the audience so it was it was pretty cool your thoughts on the match dr. Tre if you had a chance to watch it so I watched the entire show last night like and I mean when I say last night I mean I finished up at like one o'clock in the morning I watched it from start to finish because I had heard every time I just the show in general and I was like I mean obviously I had heard about the match I was like man I'm I'm just gonna watch the entire show and I'll tune in to Triple A every so often you know drives long drives like you know I was telling you off air like I'm driving North Carolina tomorrow so like if they typically that's when I'll bust out a show that typically wouldn't watch and kind of just check out what's going on the show was great the crowd was great but I I have not seen a crowd that hyped up for a match in a very very long time maybe since Clash at the castle with Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns the match itself was really well done and you're right it had everything it had dramas you know it had

35:00 right Phoenix true is a champion yeah so like it is kind of like the the undercar the lower card in the mid card of WWE is gathering up championships in triple A and we're not kind of focusing on the triple A stars that would be my only knock on everything in triple A but yeah that match though yeah it's right I mean the tearing of the masks like you see that that tough of ludwig's hair coming up the mask like the last 20 minutes of the match like that that's some old school lucha Libre style stuff that I watched back in the 80s and 90s um so overall yeah it's it's up there it's probably like top three for me is like match of the year candidates right now is we get towards the half we're almost the halfway point of the year so it's right up there probably top three right now a German impersonating an American who is embracing Mexican heritage is the most oversuperstar in triple A right now wild great stuff great great stuff and I think at some point you're you're going to see the triple A you know originals kind of not be phased out I mean it's it's going to be a place where um maybe talent on rons macdown that aren't being well utilized can contaminate like an ohmoss um it could even be a place for stars and NXT or the LFG's are evolves to go and and cut their teeth first as well which we've seen with with some talent so it's uh

36:31 I just like that it's it's being embraced it's not like another NXT it's its own thing still and uh they kind of walked into this like this wasn't WWE forcing upon this this is being embraced by the mexican fans the fans of triple A so that was pretty exciting and if you've not seen the match highly recommended and as dr trey pointed out it it is definitely something that will be discussed for match of the year and we'll be looking at like the halfway point here in in just about a month's time we usually do it right around the fourth of july after the six month mark passes which is also wild to think about for this year um final thing here dr trey is the king and king queen of the ring preview and predictions thus far so both winners of the king and queen of the ring will uh get a world title match at summer slam uh on raw this past money we had oboe feme advancing to the semi finals as he defeated pentas holosiko and carmelohaze on the female side eosky advanced to the semi finals defeating roxie and prez julia and lash legend on raw uh the other matches I actually thought it was a sixteen man and sixteen woman tournament and i was like wow they're really excited i did an old school uh instead it was just fatal foraways which i know triple h loves to do uh you've got domisterio brown breaker trick Williams and carmelohaze the winter faces oboe feme in the semi's in one match sathoran javana evans tala tunga ricky saints in another jayuso la night rois kies and fin baller in the final one for the men's side and on the female side baili versus rakell jc james and kiana james that winner will take on eoskyne the semi's live morgan who

38:06 is a world champion is in the tournament taking on becky lentil exobliss and chelsea green and you got soul ruka lira valkary charlotte flaren jade cargill in the other match um starting with the king of the ring size uh side first year dr trey you know you you we kind of have been like talking about this uh in and out and it feels to me from what we're seeing on doubter we television if you asked me a week ago i would have said oboe feme is lining up to be the king of the ring and he'll take on roman reigns for the world championship um who knows maybe he can be facing kody but i think this is actually lining up now for uh sath ralens to win and face roman reigns for the world heavyweight championship at summer slam uh what's your vibe right now in the king of the ring tournament yeah i'm kind of with you on that one i mean i i there's a few guys in here i'd like to see when like you know brawn breaker winning the whole thing would be great oboe winning be great sath wouldn't be great um so there's a few options on the table because like we're like if you're roman reigns and j ausos in the tournament like what are you telling j you know like there's there's some good story lines out of this whole thing too i'm kind of with you on the sath ralens thing because i do to me it's over our sath um it's one of those two because i'm still trying to figure out we we kind of alluded this to earlier in the show is like how does the timeline play out for roman between now and summer slam and roman and wrestle made uh can you say roman and oboe

39:39 all the way to wrestle made and if you can then you can put sath in that spot at summer slam and then come back and do roman and oboe at wrestle made because we talked about maybe brock and oboe at summer slam but they're still the gunther factor like where does gunther fit into all this he's not in this tournament uh are we sticking with gunther and kody does rand yordan come back does gunther slide back and challenge brock at summer slam because he is the career killer so it to me it's going to come down to oboe and sath but uh in the semi finals though if we get oboe and dom in the semi finals how awesome with that yeah that would be awesome but the one i'm looking at is oboe and brawn breaker yeah that's the one i want to see yeah i i from from a shirt like a sheer power just two legit bad asses absolutely but dom is so good at playing the chicken shit coward yes just him being in the ring with oboe struts out of him try to figure out some way to run away or you know just some kind of you know shenanigans or whatever like just trying to watch dom swarb his way out because we love like it's a weird world we live in now where we absolutely love dom nick mysterious character um but like yeah just watching dom like literally his character like literally like crapping his pants as oboe walks out something i kind of want to see yeah i just have this five it's oboe brawn in the next round the visions involved brock comes out costs over the match oboe versus uh

41:13 brock three at night of champions maybe you've got seven you've got i think sath and maybe j a uso in the semis sath wins then we get sath brawn three and that'll decide like the end of that that feud uh and then sath wins which i think most people you know would be groaning over thing the king the ring tournament should be used to catapult uh up and coming stars to win the the matches rather than the established guys but now that there's so many different ways you can earn a championship match it's either this there's money in the bank there's the royal rumble that it's kind of like lost that luster uh oboe and brawn would be my top two choices to win that in a normal world but i do feel like it's sath the queen of the ring size side doctor trailer like when i look at this i i think we're getting we're getting eo sky versus live morgan in the finals like why else is the world champion in this like imagine she gets upset in that first round match which could be a way to get her out of there like i could see becky lynch maybe getting a run back up there but i feel like the queen of the ring tournament is meant for eo sky to finally or to win and challenge maybe live morgan for the world championship at summer slam yeah because i was when you're looking at it it's like who is in there from smackdown that you go ooh i really like to see that match against rea dilly when i could think of i mean we talk about charlotte jade i mean olexa in rea would be a good match up you know as summer

42:43 slam also with buddy math you sang another ring there you go the winner gets winner gets buddy math use there you go um but yeah like i mean but you could actually play into that a little bit you can't i mean obviously you don't want to mention buddy math use because he's still under contract a w but you could mention it like hey we've got some history some shared history here uh and the the smart fans like us would eat that up um as much as i'd like to see eo like in that's the thing like who else it does we saw a little bit of the tension playing out maybe a little bit with live in roxan maybe roxan costs live the match in the first round to get to eo and live and then eventually we get to live in roxan i'm just trying to like storyline play it out my head because it feels like both these termizers like four people that theoretically you can see winning it out of the 16 but then which ones are the most compelling storylines yeah no i know it's um it it's i like it i like the field i like who they put in there um i think eo's been on the sidelines for too long where she should be back up in there and then there's also part of me when you look at the field where it's like it's funny because i was complaining that the king of the reign should be used to catapult someone and we're talking about established former world champions um but there's like there's like there's like jcj and kiana james were probably those two names that i would look at soles already got the intercontinental title i don't think livers get in that shot um there's also part of me that

45:52 it was russ mania 40 back in 24 yeah and so i mean i know they wrestled mania but i mean at this point it's a different becky lunch it's a different ria ria ripply they're on different levels than they were even back then so i mean you could cycle back to that match for summer slam and it would generate views i'd bring back the man character have a challenge for live but i think this is eos i really do um and part of me would love to see the creative were eo instead challenges ria ripply and we get a ria versus eo match because ria's never really defeated she's never defeated eo sky in a singles match but that wouldn't make no storyline sense unless they check they decided turn eo heal um so but you just did that emotional thing with oska so it was kind of like that's what i'm saying that's yeah yeah i think it's i think it's eo and live i want to be surprised if we saw an eo live finals because then would be like well what do they got to do with live and maybe lives like all challenge for the other belt and win two championships um i also want to be surprised if we see eo versus becky in the finals again i mean part of me if i was like i want to see the up in commerce it'd be jc james kiana jc jena james uh Chelsea drain i'd thrown there as well to to have a break out match do you know that match is what it's becky uh there's that match in becky lich niki live alexa Chelsea yeah i mean look at that match i mean like that is an incredible match that there's what one two three four five there's like nine women's or no like alexa's been a five
