0:43 This Wednesday watching AW Dynamite, my friend. Oh, okay. I was waiting. I had to wait for the line to finish there. I'm like a big lump in your throat. Like where are you going with this? I didn't know if... I know Aaron Judge just came back this week. I don't know where maybe Nerman's that he might get re-injured. The Packers are kicking off Sunday. I went to every other thing other than AW. I was trying to think of every other... Were you really worried about how Cody Rhodes felt after getting low blowed? A Pharaoh passing away? I didn't know where you were going, but at least you said AW Dynamite. So then I kind of got your frame of reference. No, yes, certainly. It was an emotional week for a professional wrestling in more ways than one.

1:28 Yeah, there were some beautiful moments. There was some incredibly sad moments. I just was reminded about Pharaoh there. I mean, anybody Dr. Trey and I, Dr. Trey, just went through this himself. We got to find a way to keep dogs around a lot, lot longer. That is just my... And keep good people around a lot longer. That is something that I've learned this week, especially in the World of Professional Wrestling, which we will get into here in just a little bit. No easier way to segue Dr. Trey, but to get into the start of the show here Sunday nights main event, recap and review this past Sunday from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta GA on the countdown show you a Dominic Busterated Feeding Joe Hendry in an on title match, Little Yachty defeated Barrett Corbin in a survive in advance match, Little Yachty lasted five minutes, earned Trick Williams United States Championship match, Trick Williams defeated Barrett Corbin, Trick Williams wins the United States Championship, Oba Femi defeated Bronn, Reykjavid disqualification after Bronson Marine return and attacked Oba Femi, Jade Cardgill, Meachin and B-Fab defeated Charles Flare, Alexa Blissett, Tate of Paxley, and a six-woman tag team match, and Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes.

2:39 Before we dig really deep into the show, Dr. Trey, some quick thoughts here on the results. For me, I thought the Trick Williams Barrett Corbin match. I feel like I say this every time now with Trick Williams. This was one of the best matches I've seen for him. I really enjoyed that match. Overall, I enjoyed the show. I thought it was a very solid show on a Sunday night for Labor Day weekend, but for me that Trick Williams Barrett Corbin match really stood out to me. What were some of your thoughts and takeaways before we start breaking this down a little bit more? Yeah, that match was really good. I still think that sometimes people forget how good Baron Corbin is, how good Baron Corbin can make his opponents look. I think Trick's progressed a lot, but then being in the ring with a guy like Corbin is one of the best big man workers I've seen in my 40 years of wrestling fandom.

3:28 It is really good. The guy can actually make anybody look like a star. I thought overall the show was really, really well done and really, really good. There was some things where I'm like, I don't really understand why they went this way with the result of said match, but overall, I was really entertained the entire show. I'll give them that, but there's a couple things in there that I'm like, I don't really get why you went this route with the victor on a couple matches. Well, this is going to be interesting now because I think that maybe some of this will come up right now. So we spent the last few weeks asking whether WWE was rushing Oba Family versus Bronfraker. WWE gave us the match, but that didn't really give us an answer.

4:09 Oba won by disqualification after Bronson Reed made his return, attacked Oba and helped division leaving him lane. I understand why WWE protected both guys, but if you're selling this is a battle for WWE's future. A DQ in their first match is always going to feel like a T's rather than a conclusion. So about the finish, the good news is WWE clearly sees more mileage in this rivalry. Neither guy had to take a pin. Bronson Reed immediately felt in port again and the vision came out of the weekend looking dangerous and I carried over into Monday's RAW. The downside is that we waited to finally see Oba and Bronf collide and the first match ended with the exact type of non-finish we were worried about. So my question for you, Dr. Trey, was the disqualification the right way to protect Oba family and Bronfraker or did WWE waste the first meeting by refusing to give us a real finish?

4:55 >> Yeah, I think they played it safe with the DQ finish and you and I talked to, like you said, we talked about this. If you're going to do the Bronson Reed beat down, then at least give Bronfraker the win. You can still do some kind of crappy thing, break or get a win and then they still do the beat down spot. And then it gets Oba over as being sympathetic. Like okay, he can't do everything on his own. One guy against five is wipe the obstacle to overcome and then you can still go through this now with Oba and Bronf. You can have Oba run through the vision to get back to Bronfraker. Doing the DQ finish is there's a safe way of protecting everybody involved.

5:36 But I don't think it did any favors for Bronfraker because you have Bronson Reed doing most of the squashing of Oba Femi, not Bronfraker. So I don't think it made Bronson look great, but I don't think it did any favors for Bronfraker in having a DQ victory here, like our DQ loss. I think you give Braker the win and then let Oba come back later on. >> WWE does this thing nowadays where they're just super protective of a lot of wrestlers where I feel like they become, and this is just wrestling as whole, it becomes very, very, very predictable. And I think it's a more WWE than it is in AW because I don't think AW has anyone that they've built like a Roman reigns at Oba Femi, a Bronfraker.

6:20 They don't have that dominant monster like WWE does. And that is not necessarily a good thing for professional wrestling and this is what I was concerned about. I wouldn't call it a throwaway show for Sunday nights main event, but it wasn't certainly a show that I think would have the magnitude to have this first. The future is now type match between these two guys because I do feel like they are part of the future of WWE and can play a very big part of the future of WWE. The opposite side of it though, Dr. Trey, is despite this match, this first time match, future on the line being sacrificed. I do feel like Bronson Reed coming back, he just got elevated.

7:03 The vision has been, let's just say what it is, it's, they've been awful for a while now because of the amount of injuries. I mean, there was a period of time where it was just basically Austin Theory and that is scary. That is not a good thing when it's just him. I mean Logan Paul is still here. Bronson was out. Bronfraker was out. I mean, I remember reading stuff that there was rumblings at the vision was going to be disbanded because of all of it, which we've seen WWE do plenty of times with staples that should have stuck around with one another, but they stuck it through and they reestablished themselves and reignited themselves as a powerful force on Monday night Raw, at least in the short term. That angle that carried over on Monday night where they laid out Oba brought, so when Bronson Reed puts his foot on Oba Femi and Oba like swat it away, I'm like, I wonder if that was scripted or not or if that's, you know, they did that purposely.

7:53 And then to come to find out on Twitter today, I believe Russell votes had reported that that was not scripted and people were upset about it. I think there were more upset with Oba than they were Bronson Reed. But nonetheless, I mean, the vision returned and I think if there's one shining light that comes out of this, I think an Oba versus vision feud has me excited, but I don't want it to be like a John Cena versus Nexus feud. Yeah, I mean, but this is, I mean, this is the, I mean, we've talked about triple H learn from Dusty and Vince, right? And Dusty, you know, being around the horseman and then, you know, his time in WC with the NWO, that's how you build super over baby faces.

8:35 You have a strong heel faction. One baby face tries to run up against the entire faction and that's how that guy gets over whether it was Dusty and the horseman, Rugg and Ronnie Garvin and the horseman, you know, Nikita Kohloff in his time against the horse, like that, that's how WCW build baby faces or NWA did. And then with the NWO, whether it was Goldberg, Sting, Diamond Dallas page, when they split the NWO in Nashwood up against NW O Hollywood, that's how you get your baby faces over is have that big giant obstacle in their way. But you have to make it look realistic. It's not like you mentioned Cena and the Nexus were seen in what basically run through the entire Nexus and one, Vince would be like, hey, Russell, four guys in the Nexus to get to, you know, bear it tonight and then Cena would crush everybody.

9:21 Like you have to do it in stages to kind of build that up to build to that climactic finish and then cycle up the next guy. My only worry with this is right now is Oba in the vision for me has me excited like you said because I'm like, oh, Oba and Braun again, Oba and Bronson, I mean, Oba and Logan Paul will be fun if all comes back healthy at some point in time for this rivalry as well. But right now when you look at it, there's like a pecking order of stables on Monday night raw where you have the bloodline and 946, is that the correct name? Yes. We'll certainly talk about 946 here. Yeah, but you have this, like there's other heel factions and the vision kind of slots in a little bit lower on the on the card right now.

10:08 And then now you have Oba working against the third strongest faction and that's not and I guess judgment day is fourth right now because there's only two guys. But it's just like, wow, okay, like you would kind of want Oba up there with the Roman blood line thing maybe at some point. But you know, it's interesting because it is like the younger generation against the younger generation in that feud. So like I'm excited for, but once again, to me, if you look at that match, you go, okay, so there's Oba and Braun, yeah, Oba and Braun in the first match, Cody and Randy in the main event match, but Cody takes a pinfall, but Oba can't, like that doesn't, to me, I'm like that doesn't make a lot of sense.

10:51 Like you could have had Oba take the pinfall, still be protected because he lost to basically four people. And then it gives Braun Breaker a little bit of credibility being, you know, really only the second person to pin Oba since he came to the main roster and then, you know, he's reestablished. Do you think Lesnar was the guy that made Oba Femi and then this feud and storyline is what elevates Oba Femi heading into WrestleMania season? Here's my thing. I look at it like right now, like, and that's, we talked about last week, Braun Breaker and not so much in a slump, but he wasn't at the same level he was in January, right?

11:35 I don't know how Oba beating up, you know, a, a finally recovered vision elevates him because they've, they've been devalued so much over the last four months that I just don't see where, like in my head, I'm like, if Oba beats Austin Therid, is that do anything for him? If Oba beats Logan Paul, all right, that's cool. If Oba beats Bronson Reed who's just been out for six months, does that, I don't think anything one on one does any for the interesting dynamic is who was Paul Hamin talking to? And if that's somebody who's bigger on the ladder than anybody in the vision currently, then that could help elevate Oba heading into Royal Rumble season.

12:18 But if it's not, I don't see how this feud elevates him prior to the rumble. Yeah, that's, that's what I've been wondering is like, because the way you look at it where it's four on one right now, yeah, four on one, that this would, I mean, so it's, Oba just got to either obliterate them or is Paul Hamin going to reach out to somebody to help aid Oba Femme? And then who the hell is that? I mean, there's nobody on the current roster. Lesnar is retired with a bring Lesnar out of retirement to like work side by side with the Oba for a period of time. That doesn't make sense. I think it's, I think it's just, I don't know, I don't know if the phone call leads to anything quite honestly. It could have just been something that he just goes off camera to not answer the question. I just feel like this is going to be Oba versus vision on his own, honestly. I don't think that anybody comes sides with him.

13:14 You still have Seth in the profits you have been seen on TV since Seth lost a room in the profits haven't been around in like six weeks. I think if they went right back to Seth and the vision, that would be weird because they, I thought they ended that feud basically. Well, they ended maybe Seth and Braun Breaker, but once again, there still Seth has some beef with Braun's and Reed too. So it is like, I don't know, like it's just, you're right. Like there, it's, it's, who's a big enough star to bring into this to help elevate Oba? And Brock has retired and apparently shaved his head. I don't know if he saw the picture of that. No. Yeah, there's a picture of him at a, as some, something around in Canada and him and Sable took a picture with a fan of Lesnar and shaved his head completely bald. I just don't know who you plug in there that hasn't been seen on TV. No, wow, that helps elevate this because we are once again, we are headed in survivor series. And if Logan Paul, who get cleared by survivor series, you could have four on four with Oba Seth and the profits against the vision. And then you have the other groups like in six man or singles or whatever.

14:28 So there, that was, you know, something else I thought I was like, oh, there is four people in the vision. If everybody gets medically cleared in time, but if not, you know, it's, it's just, I just don't know who that storyline with Paul Hameon goes into that helps Oba. And even Oba one on one, I guess the other three guys that aren't injured right now, I don't think Oba beating those guys one on one really helps elevate Oba into that main event level because I right now it's, he has the wins over Brock. He now has a win over Braun Breaker. But, you know, how do you get him into the mix when you have an LA night in Roman Reigns kind of running the top of the card right now? If it's the photo that I found out straight, that is very clearly AI. Is this daughter of him? The one, I don't know if that was his daughter because his daughter is engaged now to a former, I don't know. I don't know. I also felt one of him just in a ball then with a mustache with his son. Oh my God. Yeah, I'm in. Anyway, yeah, rabbit hole. And we can't do a rabbit hole in the podcast. It's very bad for listening. So yeah, lots of discussion here. Oba family Braun Breaker, the vision. The other big news from Sunday nights main event on trade is Randy Orton got Cody Rhodes. Randy didn't beat Cody because he was a better wrestler. He beat him because Cody hesitated. Cody had a chance upon Randy. Randy begged him to do it. Cody pause and Orton immediately went low and hit the RKO. That is such a Randy

16:01 Orton finish. Cody tried to play the Viper's game and learned that Randy will always go one step further. So my question for you did Randy Orton's win make the Cody rivalry more interesting than a clean Cody victory would have? Well, yeah, because now they're kind of one on one and one. You know, Cody had had the win in WrestleMania. Now Randy gets a win back and it's a now they got to have the and then you're you know, there's always the is Cody going to turn heel T's which this may end up in the will there ever be a Johnson and a heel turn realm for us like they're going to keep teasing it and then just like never pull the trigger on it. To me, it does make it more interesting because at some point Cody's going to have to go to a darker place than his character currently has gone to finally put away Randy Orton. So it's just a question of like how what lines will they have Cody cross to get the way we've seen Cody cheat to win in previous matches where you and I have said they went like, whoa, that's that's not like a you know, clean cut baby face type move, but they circle back to him being super clean cut baby face and then we get these weird teases and then it goes back is like, all right, if Cody's going to defeat Randy Orton, he's going to have to go to a place that he doesn't want to go to.

17:22 Will they actually pull the trigger on that? So it does to me make it a little more interesting how this all fleshes out in the end. Yeah, it's it's exciting to see. I think it's a good feud. I like that Cody is out of the title picture. I don't like Randy being out of the title picture because I would like to see him get a run with it, but makes sense here and you just can't have Cody dominating like they got it. They need to take this time right now, keep him out of the title picture, which we've discussed and just basically almost reestablish him in a way so that he may get another run. Let's say WrestleMania next year post-Russell WrestleMania, Summer of 2027 because sometimes this is a good thing for a big time baby faces to not be in the title picture. And I think that will help serve Cody because it was getting dangerously close. I feel like to John Cena levels. Speaking of that WWE championship doctor, Trey that Cody Rhodes so desperately wants to regain, CM Punk is the holder of that belt and he has given Sami Zayn the match he wanted, Sami Zayn in Mexico City. So should Sami actually win in Mexico City on Friday nights back down last week, we asked what WWE was actually building toward with CM Punk, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Now we know the next step. Punk survived the returning Johnny Gargano on SmackDown despite Sami once again interviewing, interfering in the WWE Championship picture. Sami takes out Kevin Owens, Gunther and Finn Balor, last CM Punk with the title and still couldn't stop Punk from retaining.

18:46 So Punk finally did the simplest thing possible. He challenged Sami to a WWE Championship match tomorrow night in Mexico City. So why does this work? Sami has spent weeks acting like Punk stole something that belonged to him. Now Punk is basically telling him, if you think the title is yours, come and take it. And Mexico City gives WWE a crowd where Sami should feel like a legitimate threat rather than just another challenger. So my question for you Dr. Trey is should Sami Zayn actually beat CM Punk for the WWE Championship in Mexico City on SmackDown? So selfishly, I'll say no because why? I want a championship scramble match. Brian Kendrick, each are hard out. >> Yes, because I want everybody to have a chance to hold the belt at least for two minutes.

19:31 I mean, we talked about this. You know, there's, you have, you know, Kevin Owens, Gunther, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn. Maybe those guys individually don't match up to the level of the CM Punk character in the eyes of the fans, but you throw all four of those guys. And maybe even Johnny Gargano back into the mix. You got five guys. CM Punk makes six. Like to me, if you do want to make a title change and take the belt off of Punk and have him chase again, this is a great opportunity to do it because once again, Punk wouldn't have to take the loss. You know, whatever it is. >> I, Sami is beloved in every country except the United States. So actually, to me, I think it almost feels like a hometown match tomorrow night. In Mexico City, I think the cry will actually be behind Sammy more than Punk. But, you know, to me, I'm a Kevin Owens guy first and then Sammy is second. So you didn't put the belt on Owens. So don't put the belt back on Sammy.

20:27 >> So if Punk retains to Sammy's story, stay centered on Punk or does Kevin Owens become the real destination? >> I still think it centers on Punk. We talked about it last one. To me, the dream match is Punk Owens and Sammy. Like I want to see the triple threat. I want to see all of it. And so I think Owens gets involved Friday night and cost Sammy the match, just like Sammy cost him the match, you know, a couple weeks ago. So I think that's where the road is leading to. And then meanwhile, you saw a little bit of the baller, Gunther's stuff last week. So I think you could have baller and Gunther go at it and then leave Sammy, Kevin and Punk to their own devices there.

21:08 >> Yeah, it's an interesting issue that's going on in SmackDown. Do you feel like, and we're going to get into some of the 946 Uso stuff here. So maybe I should hold off on this. You know what? I'm going to pause the question because I do have a question here about WWE creative because I'm enjoying what I'm seeing. And it's on par with the stuff that I've seen in AEW this year. So but we'll pause on that. So let's go over to the red brand, Dr. Terbi, because you've got the 946 6 setting the Uso's car on fire. Weird way to end raw. I got to be honest with you, but this looks like this is the new bloodline war for for 2026. A few weeks ago, I was wondering whether WWE was adding too many people around the bloodline story. This week the 946 made sure that they didn't feel like just another group standing around in the storyline. The Uso's and Jacob Fattu called them out on raw. Key's Nima and Lucian Price answered by setting the Uso's car on fire, which by the way, Wade Barrick says like Lucian Price. It's very odd. Lucian Price. That's a pretty clear escalation. So why am I interested as a fan? The bloodline saga has been running for years, so any new opponent has to feel different. The 946 attacking people in parking lots and out torching a car at least gives them an identity being beyond being another faction that wants to fight. And then you've got Jacob Fattu. He's involved. This can move the story forward without it immediately going back to Roman Reigns controlling every piece of it. You could let Jacob Fattu be almost like the center while Reigns is in and out off of television. So Dr. Trey, I ask you this.

22:37 Has the 946 made the bloodline story feel fresh again? Or are we still adding too many moving parts to a saga that already has a huge cast? One of my favorite things I read this week was from Bully Ray. That was a very Vince big man type thing to do to have to be down for these. Why does anybody care about the Usos car? He's got a point there. You just smashed up. It's basically you just smashed up the rich guy's car. It's almost a baby face thing to do it in a way. But it's interesting. I can't think of a good comparison on my head, but it's interesting. It's kind of like, hey, here's the established faction. Here's this new faction. So anything new and different is fun.

23:25 And I'm interesting. And the Royce keys smile to snarl thing he's doing. I haven't figured if I dig better not yet. But it does feel very, very gang warfare like mentality, which goes back to when you and I were really a WWE when you had DOA and Loose Burr week was and all those factions back then. It's like that was really, really cool time because it felt not real, but it felt maybe the most realistic version of what would happen in pro wrestling in reality. Like, oh, these guys are all friends. Hey, this is my collect. This is your collect. Let's go at it. My only issue with this is you had maybe one of the hottest organic baby face things going with Solosiko and because of this involvement of 946, it feels like that's being tamped down. And I was really enjoying the solo stuff and kind of wanted to see more of it. So what do you do with solo when it looks like you're going LA night Roman Reigns?

24:24 Where does solos slot into all of this? So it's an interesting dynamic because there's still more questions than there are answers, which is fun. But it does kind of make me feel like, okay, don't I know you're you're almost sacrificing the solo organic push to really get 946 over as a heel faction? Is it surprising that 946 is being presented as heels? No, because I still think even though like I know OTM like in NST, they were kind of baby faceors in those guys do look like, I hate to say this sounds bad, but they do kind of like they can be street thugs like in a gang. You know, they do look like they look the part of being heels. I know they have a really outgoing personality side and really fun. And at some point, hey, all these guys can be a super baby face group. But it's interesting that you had the Usos playing heels what three weeks ago with the solo thing. And now this other fact is like they're trying to they're being like, hey, we're more heel than you're heel. You know, it's a weird dynamic that like we wanted to hear for Jacob, but it was Jimmy and Jay that were basically bullying solo. But then Roy shows up with these two other guys and now we're supposed to feel bad for the Usos like this is where like I brought up this is where shades of gray can really make fans lose interest in storyline because like right now like who do you cheer for then this like are you just here for Jacob? Like

25:57 if a new fan turns us on like they're going to go okay, we like the Usos, but then somebody goes yeah, but they treated their little brother like crap like three weeks ago. You know, it's like it's it's weird in a sense of like you're you're trying to show depth of character, but maybe you're showing too much depth of character at times. So you know me right we get to this time of year, I always mention it. I'm thinking war games and I think this is the direction of war games. Do you disagree with that at all? So are we doing three on three war games? No, no, no, this is how we got to build it out. So do you think? Because what storyline do you think right now has the best chance for the men's war games match? Yeah, it's it's bloodline and nine four six. Yeah. So during all this you've got three on three right that you're pointing out right now. And in my mind, I would have figured with nine four six debut that they would have been baby faces and solo and LA night because they just tagged at summer slam would be the other two on their side. You had five. You had Roman on that side. Now you've got four. There's been some rumbling that they're going to call up. Zillafatu a little bit quicker. Let's say Zillafatu comes up and now it's Zillafatu, Jacob Fattu, both usos Roman Reigns versus nine four six, Lucian Price, Bronco Nima, Royce Keys, Solosikoa and LA night. Is that a likely destination for the war games match or not? Because I don't think it is right now. I don't know how we get there.

So like, how do you make L.E. you would have to come up with something to kite because you got to remember nine four six beat down solo and LA night when they debuted. So how does LA like the enemy of my enemy is my friend? Like I try to figure out how they get to that is and we've seen them do that before. It's like, oh, it's just like a knee jerk book of thing. Like, okay, we're cool for this week, but after this war games thing, we're going to fight it out. To me, I would almost look at go, hey, could you possibly do where Jacob turns against a bloodline and sides with Royce and nine four six and then you get those four against LA night solosiko and the Usos. Like, could you go that route? Say that one more time. I'm trying to follow you on that. So, so Jacob, like let's say we do they have a six man tag coming up as Jacob and the Usos against nine four six. Yeah. Jacob turns on the Usos to become the front guy, like really the leader of nine four six. Yep. And then in defense, so the Usos have to get solo at LA night on their side for war games and you do the Usos LA night and solo against nine four six and Jacob.

28:37 Interesting. Because I, all right. So we're not going to put Roman in this match at all. No, because I really don't think we've been trying to do four on four and Romans usually only if they need ticket sales. But look at the death. Look at the destination right now. I'm on the bank. I think we're getting an LA night versus Roman. Once Penta is gone, I think this is LA night versus Roman. So how does LA night all of a sudden start tagging with the bloodline? Um, you know, six weeks later. It's, it's a, it's a 10 with lab right now. Yeah. And that's where I was like, well, how do you get LA night to LA night and solo to sit there and put outside that beat down that nine four six gave them to then go against the entire bloodline?

29:17 You know, there's still like any direction you go, you're going to have to have that whole like, hey, by the way, forget that happened a few weeks ago. Maybe we live in out of three on three versus three versus three versus three war games match. Yeah. And that's, and that's what I thought was like, Hey, let's just, we've never done a triple threat war games match. If you want to do something new and that's been the conversation that I've heard from online is like, there are people are starting to get sick of war games, which I don't know how you can ever take that. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but if you want to freshen it up, you do three on three on three, you know, and you get nine guys involved and you do Roman in the Usos versus maybe Jacob, solo and LA night and nine four six. I think, I think you sold me on a doctor. Try I think you sold me on. I think you do three on three versus three versus three versus three. I don't know who you add into solo and LA night team yet. But what does that matter? Like Jacob gets mad. Jacob gets upset because Roman says he wants to do it with his. Oh, I feel you now. Okay, I got you. I get you. And then Jacob just has to do it.

30:19 I want to do is Jacob solo and LA night versus the Usos and Roman versus nine four six. Because I think the Jacob turn is coming a lot sooner. I don't think we're getting Roman versus Jacob that WrestleMania. And that's what you would typically think. I mean, this is to me, everything's being set up for Roman versus Oba right now. WrestleMania. Yeah. Another torch passing match. All right. Some good stuff there. I always think about war games. Once summer slam passes, I'm like, where are we going with the war games? Because you could start seeing the writing on the wall. And I think you're seeing it right now at least on the raw brand, the women's side, minor league indications are whatever the Charlotte Alexa Jade Cargill stuff is is what leads in that direction. And you may even throw like Chelsea Green Tiffany Stratton in there as well. But that's for another discussion for another day.

30:59 We got plenty of time before war games. Lastly, Dr. Trace switching gears to AEW this past Wednesday night. So first thing here, terrible news over the weekend, where the butcher Andy Williams passed away at 47 years old or 48 years old, excuse me. During a match, he collapsed. CPR was administered. Transport of the hospital show ended. And he unfortunately passed away. I always enjoyed the butcher. And they were, you know, he was like a like a job or towards the end of the AEW side because a blade was out with a really, really bad back injury.

31:40 But I really enjoyed that tag team and a brought back really good memories of when AEW first started. I loved his look. He was such a throwback character to me. Loved how he was a musician, like a legit musician on the side and decided he wanted to take up wrestling from what you read. Just like always, it's terrible. Excalibur on AEW dynamite this past Wednesday had some beautiful words. If you've not heard his words on Andy Williams, the butcher I would highly recommend it. But I would be remiss Dr. Trace. We don't at least share our thoughts around the just unfortunately and terribly sad untimely passing of Andy Williams, the butcher.

32:24 Yeah, just absolutely sucked, especially, you know, on the heels of, you know, the AEW's great show for Rebel. To hear that news was just completely just, you know, catches you off guard and, you know, like legit musicians, like if you're a rock music fan, go listen to every time I die. It's one of the better modern rock bands of this timeline. You know, and then you get just from every indication he is one of these, I talked to Adam Priest this weekend, Adam for those, you know, those Rock a City guy. I'm actually a senior watching LA or watching George Kittle. I remember promoting the George Kittle brand when they came to Rock a City and they did a commercial for George Kittle's clothing line and he wrestled one of the guys he wrestled was Adam Priest in that match. Priest is one of those guys always tells the cuts of Stray and he was like, Andy was one of the nicest guys when he got to first start really being around the AEW locker room and the AEW guys that, you know, Andy was actually going to cut him and just literally tell him like, you know, like advice, questions, anything like that. That was kind of one of those guys you would go to. So just Harbor, he did, he had one of those really great looks like that mustache. Like I always kind of way, like you could put him in a suit with a monocle and he could look like, you know, just like an evil butler. But then, you know, the butcher gimmick was so good and the butcher in play was one of my favorite early tag teams that I didn't really know anything about when AEW launched and, you know, it's just, it just sucks across all of, I mean, the guy is

33:55 actually a year and a half younger than me. And so it also puts it in perspective, like, you know, don't take anything for granted because you just don't know how long stuff runs. But just absolutely crushing news to hear of a guy like that, you know, loses life and just get his, get everything extinguished far, far too young. They will be paying tribute to him on this Saturday's edition of Collision, which will be certainly a must watch. Obviously, the other news there as you brought up Dr. Trey was, the show was dedicated to Rebel, Tane and Brooks, or also known as Reba, the show title, Rebel Heart. And, you know, she's battling ALS right now. She's in her early 40s, I believe. She's been in professional wrestling at the last 10 years. Remember her in impact wrestling with the Monastery with crazy Steve was in there. Yeah. And I think not, there was one of the guys from the British group as well. And Mike Knox from WWE days was in there. And it was the weighting room moment was really cool and a nice throwback to those good old days of AW.

35:08 And then when she comes out with the glove, I mean, but break or cannot hold it in. I mean, you just can tell how emotional she is and check and like holding it in. And then when they ride out together, I mean, what an amazing emotional moment. There's not many beautiful moments in professional wrestling by any means. But I figured I thought that that was one of the more beautiful moments that I've seen in such a warrior and somebody who is, if you watched her video, wants to carry the torch for ALS research. I mean, God bless her man. I mean, just awful diagnosis, awful cards that are dealt, but she's making the most out of a really bad situation. And just some beautiful moments as pass ones end out of my. Have you seen some of her videos from the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge coming back up?

35:54 Yeah. The killer cross Scarlet, Scarlet Boudreau one was great. My friend Jeremiah Plunkett did one for, you know, NWA him and Rebel. They have been friends for 15 years. His Rebel first got into wrestling. I got to meet her. I only got to meet her once. And that was at a show in Tennessee. And she's just a sweetheart of a person. But yeah, just a really, really emotional show. And then my question was, was it always called the waiting room? It was, yeah. Because I swear, like I thought was called something else because when Dr. Tray Franklin had his own talk show, he called it the waiting room. So, but I had a different version. I actually made people come to the ring and then my wife and my wife would actually make them would hand them magazines and make them sit there and wait for me to actually come out to interview them. So I actually legitimately made it a waiting room. So yeah, it was just really, really beautiful thing. AEW, say what you and I have sat here and loved on AEW and we have trashed AEW. There may be no better company when it comes to like special shows or tribute shows than what AEW does. I totally agree. I mean, those guys, it's literally like you feel the love. And once again, like you talk about like Rebecca getting choked up, like they embrace that with AEW when they come to those kind of shows, like those guys just go above and beyond for folks. So I can't say enough good things about that show

37:28 and about what AEW's been doing for helping out with Rebel and everything else they're doing. Like just really, really good work that they're doing right now to help her out. Yeah, God bless her all the best and amazing that she wants to be the face of ALS Kyrs and just all the strength and power to her during this time. Switching to what took place on Dynamite this past Wednesday, Dr. Trey to move the AW world championship storyline forward. Will Osprey comes out and says that he chose Will John Moxley. It's been quite the reign for Will Osprey's world championship run so far and it's going in a way that I really like.

38:10 Osprey isn't waiting for someone to challenge him. He revealed that he personally asked for John Moxley at all out because Moxley is the only person to pin him this year. Osprey's in framing this as a revenge thing. He's framing it as the first test of whether he is really the new ace of AEW. So why does this matter right now? If AEW wants this to be Will Osprey's heir of beating Kenny Omega Wembley can't be the peak of the story. He needs a championship reign that feels important immediately. And Moxley is probably the safest possible opponent if you want Osprey's first major defense to feel dangerous from the moment it's announced. So Dr. Trash, you this is John Moxley the right first major challenger for Osprey's AW world championship reign. Yeah, I absolutely think so. I mean, for the better part of five years has been John Moxley's company. He's been the safety net. Anytime something goes bad, we can pull the John Moxley card and put them on top of the roster and it legitimizes everything that they're doing.

39:05 So it is the safest pick to really establish that we're walking into the Will Osprey. He's the best air of AEW. So it makes it to the sense. It is interesting though that they also have deviated from the Andrade angle of this as well and maybe saving it for down the road or whatever. But you know, for Osprey to come out and say like he wants Moxley plus it maybe wraps up that whole death writer storyline with them as well and gives that a little bit of finality because that's one thing AEW does maybe doesn't do as good as AEW is like they still leave strings of a story lingering at times and maybe this is how we get the finality of what you know, the Osprey death writer's angle really, you know, kind of comes to a head. So that's why I was going to ask you here kind of quasi next Dr. Trey does Osprey need to beat Moxley decisively at all out to establish that AW really has entered his era. Yeah, I mean, and like in a much more to say, like I mean, as long as he gets a pinfall victory because I don't think you know, Osprey's not the kind of cheat, you know, this version of Osprey's not going to cheat to win. So he needs a pinfall victory or job mostly because once again, Moxley I think has only been pinned once this year himself or twice maybe at most. So it is two of the top guys going head to head. So Osprey really needs kind of that clean victory over here to really establish his era of AEW. Yeah, that's going to be a really fun match at all out. And I loved how they catapulted that ankle

40:40 on Wednesday night. Dr. Trey, I forgot my own question. I was going to ask you. We were talking about the blue and the red band brands. What do you feel? How do you feel right now about WWE creative right now? Because I do like the direction things are going. And I've been given them props over the last several weeks. But how do you feel about how things are going for the creative team? I would say majority pretty good. The majority of the stuff on both brands I think is really good. Like I mean, like I said earlier, I don't like when things like, okay, so the bloodline just bullied solo three weeks ago. But then 946 shows up so we should feel bad for the Usos now. Like I don't stuff like that. I leave questions on. But when you look at Smackdown, you got Cody and Randy. But then you have the heavyweight title picture. Like that's really good. You still have the stuff with, you know, trick and Corbin and Yachty and Carmelo and anybody else you want to throw the US title picture.

41:39 That seems good. The Women's Division with the tag teams and the six women things and, you know, trying to get to Charlotte and Jade at some point. I feel good about that. The live Stephanie Becky Lynch dynamic on RAW is good. You know, the Chad Gable stuff is good. And to like I feel good about probably 85% of the storylines running in WWE. There is just the little bit of stuff that annoys me. But overall, it's like I can't outside of that 946 Usos, LA and I solo Roman area. I'd and that might be cleared up when you get to get to survivor series. But that's the only area to show where I'm like, I don't know what they're doing there. But everything else I kind of have directions on at least.

42:24 Yeah, it's been fun as of late and I really like the direction that both the companies are going in right now as we head into the fall and then sort of ramp things up before you know in the winter time and to rest of any season. I think it's been really, really good stuff lately from both WWE and AEW and that makes things exciting for us wrestling fans. I feel like we're talking more about storylines and the way things are going with both companies more often than just like new stories to kind of pass the time by. It's been more about the stories that are being built in both WWE and AEW right now. With that said, let's close up shop on this week's edition of SRTU.
